Types of Classes on Shvasa

Hatha Yoga

Derived from 'Ha' meaning sun and 'tha' meaning moon, Hatha Yoga harmonizes the dual energies within us. Tailored for beginners, these classes emphasize slow-paced movements synchronized with the breath. Enhancing strength, balance, and flexibility, Hatha Yoga facilitates body and mind detoxification and purification, offering relaxation, tranquility, and revitalization.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga entails a fluid practice coordinated with rhythmic breathing. This style strings together diverse asanas, forming an invigorating sequence that challenges practitioners. Known to energize, burn calories, and stimulate the digestive fire, Vinyasa enhances strength and flexibility. While it might pose a challenge initially, proper guidance empowers practitioners to embrace this practice effectively.

Ashtanga Yoga

An intense practice, Ashtanga Yoga is dynamic and transformative. Sequenced asanas strengthen, balance, and pacify the mind and body. Each movement synchronizes with breath, fostering awareness while building the required strength and flexibility.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga indulges in a slow, meditative practice promoting gentle stress relief and healing. Centered on breath focus, these sessions restore and rejuvenate both mind and body, leaving participants feeling serene and composed.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga adopts a deliberate, slow-paced approach, emphasizing prolonged posture holds. By staying in postures for extended periods, practitioners attain deep meditative states, inviting comfort in new poses, and fostering a release of stress, enabling a tranquil yet revitalizing experience.

Face Yoga

Regular sessions where you learn face massage techniques for deep relaxation and stress-relief. Face yoga is beneficial in improving blood circulation, glowing skin and in strengthening facial muscles. Regular practice reduces under-eye circles, lifts and tightens the skin, reducing wrinkles and fine lines!

Yoga with Weights

Blending the mindful serenity of traditional yoga with the robust benefits of weight training is yoga with weights. This fusion promises enhanced strength and flexibility, offering a deeper stretch, improved posture, and amplified core stability. It's more than just a class; it's an experience waiting to transform your practice.

Pranayama

Pranayama, or breathing exercises, regulates life force and promotes overall well-being. Through controlled breathwork, these exercises foster balance in the mind and body, offering techniques to cool down, energize, or maintain equilibrium.

Meditation

Meditation serves as a potent tool for stress release, heightened focus, and improved sleep quality. Regular practice nurtures mindfulness, fostering a balanced and composed state of mind, becoming a pivotal positive habit for daily well-being.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, a deeply relaxing technique, influences the subconscious, aiding in stress and anxiety release. It reshapes ingrained perceptions, facilitating the break from old, negative habits. This practice also balances the nervous system and aids in addressing sleep difficulties, offering therapeutic benefits for the mind.
